OUR MISSION 

We are "The Committed Committee," a passionate group of 20 young filmmakers from Cape Town’s vibrant communities, and we are on a mission to create something extraordinary. The 48HR Film Festival is our opportunity to showcase our talent, creativity, and determination on a platform that could change our lives. But to make this dream a reality, we need your support.

THE RACE AGAINST TIME

We are currently scrambling and racing against time to secure the essential resources needed to bring our vision to life. This includes finding locations, acquiring gear, securing accommodation, ensuring safety, providing food, arranging transportation, and covering other crucial necessities. These aren’t just luxuries—they’re the foundations of a production that we believe has the potential to be truly remarkable.

Filmmaking demands extreme patience, dedication, and resourcefulness—qualities we possess in abundance. Every day, we are reaching out to different sectors, negotiating, and finding creative solutions to obtain what we need. We’re not just dreaming; we’re doing everything in our power to make this project a success, no matter the obstacles.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP

Despite our best efforts, there are still critical expenses we need to cover, such as accommodation, transportation for site recces, group meetings, registration fees, and insurance. These costs are beyond our current means, but with your help, they are within
