Vino Pizza 2024
Sat Oct 12, 15:00 - Sat Oct 12, 22:00
Folk Café St. James
ABOUT
The Folk Vino and Pizza festival is a celebration of the best partnership since they invented TASTE BUDS, WINE and PIZZA! The historical connection between pizza and wine has evolved through centuries of shared heritage that honour simplicity and flavour. When we pair the two, people just get happier! Last year's sold out event was an amazing night and with the line up this year it promises to exceed expectations!
?
Tastings will be curated by some of the Western Cape’s top award winning wine producers including Mullineux, Chamonix, Black Oystercatcher, Doolhof, Oak Valley, Vondeling, Raats Family Wines, Stellenrust, Bouchard Finlayson and so many more. Keep your eyes glued to our socials as we reveal the other big names who will be pouring on the day. For the beer lovers, we'll have a surprise from Jack Black waiting for you. On the night you can expect to be entertained with live music and exciting giveaways whilst you work your way through your pairings! If you love wine, music and pizza there really is nowhere better to be than Folk Vino Pizza 24 (Previously Pino pizza fest but now there's so much more to taste!). You can expect a little surprise welcome drink and the opportunity to buy wines direct from the farm at cellar door prices. Each of the wineries will be showcasing various varietals and fabulous wines and you can purchase extra tasting credits and buy additional tasters, glasses or bottles of wine.
We encourage you to get up close and personal with the wine makers and representatives. This is a family friendly event, with free entry for designated drivers! Also, we've hooked up with Euphorika Beverages to give our responsible, amazing heroes a delicious Sceletium drink. With a play area and childminders for the the kids, bring the whole crew. Kids are free and pizza’s and other drinks will be available to order. We encourage responsible alcohol consumption so please make use of alternatives to driving, Uber is easily available in the area. The train to St James is also a great way to join in the fun but make alternative arrangements to get home.
