Dearest Readers,

Join CARE St Helena Bay (NPO) on our fundraising journey to ensure the continuous protection of the suffering and abused animals and the sustainability of our non-profit organisation.

It is with the greatest delight that I reveal the most extraordinary event to grace our social calendar this season. On the 19th of October 2024, CARE St Helena Bay shall be hosting an evening of splendour for our much-anticipated first Night at the Races. Prepare your finest 1920’s Gatsby attire and most distinguished airs, for this promises to be an evening of unparalleled opulence. This event, dear readers, is not to be missed. The evening promises an event that will be the talk of the town for months to come.

Dress Code – 1920’s Gatsby Attire “Putting on the Ritz!”

Limited to 50 guests

Tickets cost R450pp Includes Luxury Cocktail Party

Or Book a table of 10 for R4 500

First come first serve Cancellations are non-refundable  

Cash Bar will be available (Kindly refrain from bringing your own alcohol into the venue) 

4 Horse races and 4 fun races

Races are projected on a big screen

(Must be 18 years or older)

American Auction and Prize for Best Dressed Couple

·         Each person is given an amount of "Play Money" to bet with, there will be an opportunity to purchase additional money for a fee at the interval. 

·         The betting options are explained and examples given.

·         The evening consist of 4 horse races and 4 fun races. 

·         Each guest places their bet on a betting slip, giving details of their name and table number. A "runner" will take the bet and give it to the bookie. 

·         Any winnings will be returned at the end of the race by the runner.

·         The winner is the person with the most money at the end of the evening.

CARE St Helena Bay strives to relieve the suffering of abused and abandoned animals, and to advance the safety and well-being of our animals. Funds raised will go towards our goal to ensure all animals receive the level of care they need, prevent cruelty to animals and provide education to pet owners.

All proceeds to go to CARE St Helena Bay, Non-Profit Organization.
