Concerto Cap Classique is going to be an event not to be missed, taking place on World Champagne Day (27 October 2024) at the magnificent Magnolia restaurant at Casterbridge, White River.
Guests will be treated to a glass of Krone Cap Classique on arrival at 12h30 and the performance will start from 13h00, interspersed with a magnificent three-course meal.
The concert programme includes movements from well-known concertos spanning the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern eras with works by Bruch, Mozart, Handel, Rodrigo and even an own composition written for marimba and orchestra.
Our soloists that will be performing with the orchestra include Janette Rottcher (violin), Reon van Aardt (clarinet), Shan-Rich Lemmer (classical guitar), Sbusiso Madonsela (trumpet), Julia Burger (soprano), Thapelo Lekoane (mezzo soprano) and other members of the orchestra.

Lowveld Community Orchestra
The Lowveld Community Orchestra under the direction of pianist, singer and composer, Lizanne Barnard, has around 20 active members and has grown in stature since its establishment in 2013. Over the years, performances have included the popular annual Songs of Praise with Richard Cock and Christmas concerts with the Lowveld Chamber Music Association. The orchestra’s repertoire includes classical, jazz, film and contemporary original music.
