ABOUT
HELDERBERG VILLAGE MUSIC SOCIETY
Presents a
FULL CIRCLE CONCERT
"Full Circle," features violinist Johanna Roos and pianist Roelof Temmingh Jnr., both notable alumni of the Royal College of Music in London. The program centers around Roelof Temmingh Snr.’s "Sonata for Violin and Piano," which Johanna first performed in 1993. Notably, she had the unique privilege of receiving personal feedback from the late composer himself during that performance.
The program explores a rich array of emotions and soundscapes, highlighting Schubert's monumental "Fantasy in C Major, D. 934," renowned for its lyrical beauty and intricate complexity. Also featured is Poulenc's poignant "Sonata for Violin and Piano, FP 119," dedicated to the Spanish poet Lorca, with its evocative, guitar-like effects in the violin.
Join Johanna and Roelof for an afternoon of profound musical exploration and emotional depth in this outstanding concert.
