The Chamber Music Collective is proud to present the Tres Fontes Concert Series in partnership with St Stithians Boys’ Music School. The concert on 20 October 2024 features a Violin and Piano Recital by two of South Africa’s most celebrated musicians: Zanta Homfeyr and Malcolm Nay.
The programme includes:
1.Tomasso Vitali: Chaconne
2.Franz Schubert: Rondo Op. 70 D. 895
3.Sergei Prokofiev: Sonata no. 1 in D major Opus 80 for violin and piano
4.Dimitri Schostakovitch: Four Preludes Opus 34, Nr. 10
5.Claude Debussy: Beau Soir
6.George Gershwin: It ain’t necessarily so (from ‘Porgy and Bess’)
The programme will open with a special guest performance by a St Stithians Boys' College student, Christiaan Theron (violin).
