The Power of Peace Talk is an annual event endorsed by the PeaceJam Foundation and the Desmond Tutu & Leah Legacy Foundation. Its purpose is to address the new frontiers and challenges facing democracy, peace, safety, and human rights in South Africa and globally.
Shirin Ebadi, an Iranian Nobel Laureate, lawyer, writer, teacher, former judge, and founder of the Human Rights Center in Iran, will be the keynote speaker at our third annual Power of Peace Talk at the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation on October 18, 2024.
The annual Power of Peace Talk has been created to deepen our understanding of peacebuilding and prepare us to meaningfully implement the ideals of democracy in South Africa.
