ABOUT

Cape Town - we're excited to announce the return of the country's premier pitch event, happening on 18 September 2024 at the V&A Waterfront.

Following our nationwide call for applicants, we're giving another 14 of the country's most innovative startups the opportunity to showcase their ventures to the country’s leading VC’s, angel networks, corporates and ecosystem enablers (alongside an audience of 200 from across the startup ecosystem). This event is proven to support ventures in attracting capital, key hires, corporate partners and early customers - and you (the ecosystem) are invited to join us in support.

The Startup Showcase is an initiative of Startup Club ZA, South Africa's fastest-growing tech startup and investor community; in partnership with leading organisations: First National Bank, Momentum Metropolitan Holdings, Paystack, E Squared Investments, Guardrisk, AIONS Creative Technology, ALX Ventures, MakeReign, Origen Software and Injini.

NEED TO KNOW

Arrival

Check-in opens at 17:15pm and we start promply at 18:00pm. We reserve the right to admit late-comers until intermission, out of courtesy for our attendees and participating founders.

Parking

The Watershed is a converted warehouse, located next to Cape Town Aquarium. Parking is available nearby at Portswood Parking Garage or the V&A Mall, but we recommend using ride-sharing if/where possible.

Food and Drinks

Canapés and a cash bar will be available on the night.

Tickets

Tickets are required for admission and do not include a plus-one. We regret no walk-ins on the day.

Attendance is capped. Once we have reached capacity, please email us at [email protected] and we will revert should space become available.

Tickets are not refundable, but transferrable up to 36 hours before the event (12pm, 17 September). To transfer your ticket, follow these instructions, or notify us via email and include the name/surname/email address of your replacement.

IMPORTANT - Kindly take note that this is a catered event with limited seating. Accordingly - in order to grow a good attendance culture - "no shows" without prior notice may be excluded from future events.
