ABOUT

We are thrilled to invite you to visit the historic century-old Hydroelectric Power Station outside Groot-Brakrivier during this year's Muse Festival.

The station, now celebrating its 100th anniversary, may no longer be in daily use, but it remains fully functional. One of the earliest rural power stations, it was built by the Searle family to supply electricity to the town and their leather tannery.

During the Muse Festival, guests have an exclusive opportunity to visit the power station. This includes a leisurely 2 km round-trip walk on a flat path. The station can only be accessed with permission from local authorities, and due to limited space, only 15 people are allowed per visit.

This experience is expected to be very popular, so be sure to reserve your spot—and your friends’ spots—as soon as possible!

Friday and Saturday, 20 and 21 September: 11:30 - 13:00
