ABOUT

“Wit(h)ness’‘ is a contemplative and didactive group exhibition that seeks to stay with the poly crises we are facing today. It aims to illuminate the intricate connections between war, extractivism, climate collapse and human rights violations, and even intimate personal losses, without losing ourselves to overwhelm, chronic grief syndrome or apathy.

In this exhibition, we explore how artists both witness and archive traumatic moments in history through their making process, but also at the same time, through the awakening force of aesthetic enquiry.

The exhibition includes a carefully curated selection of exquisite artworks around these themes, including digital works on screens; but also invites the visitors to let the artist within each of us participate in a series of collaborative, meditative artworks, through the acts of drawing, stitching, painting and carving.

A ticket gives you access to the exhibition at any time during the day, including experiencing our health concious Cloud Café and 0% Bar from 8am - 6pm Mon-Fri and 9am - 6pm on weekends. Tickets are priced at R150, but only R75 for South African Citizens (please present your RSA ID).
