JPO SPRING SEASON 2024

ABOUT

The Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra is delighted to announce the details of JPO Spring Season of the lauded World Symphony Series (WSS), running from 24^th October – 14^th November at the Linder Auditorium.  The Season opens with the highly-anticipated Spring Gala Concert, jointly performed by the Johannesburg and KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestras (bookings for this concert are available separately).

Concerts 2, 3 & 4 are led by accomplished conductors Rebecca Tong and Rory Macdonald.  Soloists include violinist Soyoung Yoon who has been recognised as one of the greatest violinists of her generation, internationally celebrated pianist Olga Kern and the dynamic duo of violinist Daniel Rowland and cellist Maja Bogdanovic.

Repertoire for the Spring Season includes favourites by Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Mendelssohn and Chopin, as well as widely performed works by Dvorak, Brahms and Bruch.
