Bat evening at the Kloofendal Nature Reserve
Sat Oct 12, 17:00 - Sat Oct 12, 20:00
Kloofendal Nature Reserve
ABOUT
There are many myths and misunderstandings about bats and many people are afraid of them. At this event, the Gauteng & Northern Regions Bat Interest Group will introduce you to the world of bats and help clarify these mysterious and intriguing creatures.
There will first be a 45 minute talk on bats. Then, weather permitting, we will go for a short walk to see emerging bats flying around just before it gets dark.
Upon return we will usually be able to show you bats that have been caught in the reserve the night before, which you'll be able to see up close.
Afterwards the bats will be released.
This is a great family event.
This event begins from the Ecological Centre in Kloofendal Nature Reserve.
