ABOUT
Sauti Za Afrika is group of emerging artists who connected though the love of jazz at the South African College of Music, UCT. The band members diverse origins including Cape Town, Eastern Cape, Gauteng and Nairobi Kenya. This group of young musicians aims to use music as a way to connect with one another and with other people, sharing their identities and telling their stories through Afro jazz and poetry. Their music is heavily influenced by South African Jazz, pentatonic sounds and some Afrocentric traditional vocal and percussive sounds. Join us and celebrate our sounds and soulful expressions through the gifts of music, poetry and storytelling.
