Feather Fans are one of the most prolific and iconic burlesque props used throughout history, and no performer can say they have truly burlesqued until they have gracefully fluttered across a stage in nothing but feathers and a smile!

Join us for some tips, techniques and tittilation with Diva Disastar - "S.A.'s Dame of Burlesque" as we explore the art of fan dancing for burlesque performers.

*When? Saturday, 6th May, 10AM - 11:30AM

*Where? 4 Douglas Place, Woodstock

*How much? R450 for a 90 minute class, including a glass of bubbly on arrival, and a photograph of you with the feather fans, as a keepsake!

So you’ve learnt the art of burlesque and realise that it’s burning a hole in your burly pocket, especially considering the state of our economy. We at Black Orchid firmly believe in burlesque on a budget, so we would like to share a few tips and techniques on how to make your basic essentials for stage.
 

Diva Disastar - "S.A.'s Dame of Burlesque", who owns Disastar by Design featuring G&T Pastie Parlour will demonstrate how to create your very own Fascinator, Garter and Pastie(s), and then leaves the creative side up to you as you choose one item to design during the workshop under the gentle guidance of the Diva.

Everything you need to complete this workshop will be provided but please bring your own scissors and hot glue gun, if you have.
