The Botaki Ba Pono creative workshop launch from 12h00 to 16h30, the launch will feature an art exhibition, craft market, and interactive workshops in ceramics, punch needle, and still life painting. This event will showcase artworks from Pretoria’s emerging visual artists, offer a marketplace for unique handmade crafts, and provide a hands-on learning experience that emphasizes the exploration of art techniques through the contemporary
mediums of ceramics (clay hand building workshop), punch needle and still life painting workshop.
Ceramics Workshop: Participants will delve into the rich tradition of ceramics, learning
techniques that blend cultural heritage with modern artistic practices. This workshop
emphasizes the therapeutic benefits of working with clay, including stress relief.
Punch Needle Workshop: The punch needle workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore
this innovative textile art form. Attendees will experience the calming effects of the
rhythmic, repetitive motions involved in punch needle art, while also gaining new insights
Still Life Painting Workshop: Through the still life painting workshop, participants will refine
their observational skills and explore new artistic interpretations. This session provides a

Art Exhibition The daily festivities will start with an art exhibition, organised by our visual art interns, this
exhibition will serve as a testament to the vibrancy and depth of the contemporary visual art
culture, showcasing the creative expressions of local artists, while providing a glimpse of the
