Walk to Boyes Drive (Trappieskop Starting Point)

- Details: We will walk from Kalk Bay Train Station to the start of the Trappieskop walk at the cul-de-sac in Boys Drive. During this stroll through the picturesque streets of Kalk Bay, you'll have the opportunity to get to know your fellow travellers and engage in conversation with Chief Kingsley. This segment of the journey immerses you in the beautiful architecture and vibrant atmosphere of Kalk Bay, setting a wonderful tone as we head towards our starting point of the mountain trail.
Starting the Climb from Trappieskop
Time: 10:00 AM
- Details: At 10:00 AM, we will begin our ascent from the entrance of Trappieskop. This initial climb will take about 30 minutes and lead us to Welcome Rock. As we walk, enjoy the beautiful views and the start of the climb, immersing yourself in the natural beauty of the area.

Here, you’ll see both the India and Atlantic Oceans and be encouraged to meditate and feel the harmonious energy of the land. First Cave Exploration

- Details: Delve into the mystical world of the First Cave, guided by Chief Kingsley.
- Learn about the cave’s historical and spiritual significance, discover ancient stories etched in the rocks, and understand the rituals that have taken place here for generations. Chief Kingsley’s deep knowledge and storytelling will transport you back in time, illuminating the cave’s role in the indigenous cultural landscape.
Reaching the Summit
Time: 11:30 AM
- Details: Upon reaching the summit of the mountain, take a moment to soak in the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding areas, including Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay, and the expansive False Bay. This vantage point offers a spectacular overview of the region, providing a perfect spot to rest and appreciate the full beauty of the landscape. We'll sit here and enjoy the full view, reflecting on the journey so far and the natural wonders that lie ahead.
Mountain's Edge Walk
Time: 12:00 PM
- Details: Embark on a scenic traverse along the mountain's edge, where breathtaking panoramic views await. As you walk, your guide will introduce you to the diverse flora and fauna that inhabit this unique ecosystem. Cave Spiritual Practices
