Bringing Back Athletics in Schools

ABOUT

In lieu of the national drive to bring athletics back into schools, ACT (Athletics for Community Transformation) wishes to fulfil amongst others, to uplift communities, ultimately create more Olympian athletes from South Africa, recreate the "breeding ground for all sporting codes", being the ability to run. Currently this institution is run and managed by the previously disadvantaged legends of athletics in the Western Cape. Given the eminent reduction in state funded teachers, this society wishes to assist the aforementioned goals particularly but not exclusively in public schools. This project will not only require voluntary time from these individuals but also funds for a host of logistics like transport, equipment, etc.
