Cross the border on foot and hike deep into the majestic Lesotho mountains! Experience the thrill of adventure as we traverse this beautiful landscape and immerse ourselves in its natural wonders.

Trip Details:
Date: 28-29 December 2024
Location: Bushmans Nek, Drakensberg
Hike Distance: 18km round trip (9km to the cave, 9km back)
Fitness Level: Moderate fitness required (not suitable for beginners/casual hikers!-650m elevation gain!)
Early bird: R2199 (before 31 October 2024) otherwise: R2499 per person
What’s Included:

- Porters to transport your overnight backpack (you will be hiking with a small daypack)

What to Bring:
- Sleeping bag & mat
- Overnight backpack (min 50L) – rentals available, contact us for more info
- Trail snacks, water, cap, and sunblock
- Hiking boots with good grip (NO FLAT SHOES!)
- Hiking stick (highly recommended; purchase one from us for R299 – please order in advance)
Meals Provided:
Dinner/Lunch: Choice of meat or vegan dish
Breakfast: Oats (coffee & tea included)
No overnight gear? No problem! We can assist you with everything you need.
Accommodation:
Optional night before and after accommodation is available at various resorts in the area (self-catering chalets, rustic log cabins, or camping). Please note that this accommodation will need to be arranged by yourself and is not included in our fee.
Eco-Friendly Reminder:
We strongly encourage all hikers to use only green/eco-friendly wet wipes and toilet paper during the trip. Sadly, the Berg is starting to look like a dumpsite, and we want to tackle this problem together. Let’s do our part to preserve the beauty of nature!

Hike Grading:
- Grade 1: Easy – minimal fitness required
- Grade 2: Moderate – not too strenuous
- Grade 3: Moderate – physical fitness advisable
- Grade 4: Strenuous – physical fitness essential
- Grade 5: Very strenuous – high fitness level essential
