Pizzo Magatyana

ABOUT

Malibongwe Magatyana stage name “Pizzo “ the bass player born in a musically family in Cape town . Pizzo was a exposed to African Jazz music at an early age by his father Bongani Magatyana a well known African Choral composer. Pizzo had played with great Capetonian jazz artist. He attends IMED Jazz school and he writes his own songs for different jazz bands. He was nominated by his jazz school for Jazz workshop at the Grahamstown Art Festival in 2023 where he played with great musicians of the world . His highlights in music was playing a flute with orchestra at the age of 12 . Playing a piano for 400 voices choir at OAC . Playing bass for an award winning artist Bravo Le Roux .
