Come and join us in a evening of exceptionally unique live music by String Therapy, a local homegrown brother/sister duo whom are becoming very popular in Gauteng.
Meet String Therapy
Both well respected musicians (Raziela and Stephen Kosterman) have matriculated at Hoër Volkskool Heidelberg and have subsequently completed the Music degrees at University of Pretoria. Raziela and Stephen have been learning and playing their instruments since the age of 9 and currently face a whopping 19 years of experience. They have their very own music school GR Music Academy that has been established for 4 years.
Stephen is the lead guitarist of his Rock and Roll band, “Stones and Gold”. Their achievement with his previous band "Jackvalve" taking the winning title of the largest battle of the bands competition in SA in 2013, namely the Klipdrift Battle of The Bands, has significantly helped them in their career as a band as well as their immense dedication and hard work in spreading their music and gaining a following. Stephen is also String Therapy’s producer and writes songs and instrumental music for his own solo projects: Charlie’s Mood and Das Doof Doof. He is an extremely accomplished guitar player with styles ranging from Flat picking, flamenco, electric Lead and rhythm. He currently plays in 5 bands including String Therapy.
Raziela currently plays for the 2x Ghoema award winning artist Joshua na die Reën. She has worked with artists such as Laurika Rauch, Azurdee and The Blue River Band, The Dave Matthews Tribute Band, The Alan John Band, and Saarkie. She is a songwriter at heart and loves exploring and pushing the boundaries of the violin especially with her range of electric sounds. She is also an accomplished Violin player(Electric/ Acoustic) in styles such as classical, Irish fiddling, country fiddle and Contemporary Jazz. She also specializes in singing and currently trains a choir.

String Therapy’s repertoire is impressive and features a wide range of musical genres: classics, jazz, Latin, golden oldies, film music, pop, alternative hits, rock, folk and much more. Featuring many favourites such as: What the world needs now is love – Burt Bacharach, Edelweiss – Sound of Music, Mas Que Nada – Jorge Ben, Barcarolle - Offenbach, Arabian Nights - Aladdin, Green Sleeves, Hotel California – The Eagles, DOA – Foo Fighters, Old Joe Clark – Irish Jigs, What am I to you – Norah Jones and much, much more!
Please support our local homegrown artists. String Therapy is involved in the community by helping other local bands and organizations, and going as far as to create an exceptionally unique live experience within Heidelberg at the beautiful venue — Secret Garden at Four Seasons Nursery.

MEET STRING THERAPY

His current "Stones & Gold" is an alternative rockband with Stephen as the main bandmember. guitar riffs to be as rhythmic as possible. He approached the guitar in a similar manner to his playing a drumkit, assigning different drum parts to different strings on the instrument. He is also String Therapy’s producer and writes songs and instrumental music for his own solo projects: Charlie’s Mood and Das Doof Doof. He is an extremely accomplished guitar player with styles ranging from Flat picking, flamenco, electric Lead and rhythm.
