The Brink family warmly invites you to a special Thanksgiving dinner at Groot Phesantekraal on the outskirts of Durbanville!


Join us for an unforgettable evening filled with gratitude, delicious food, and wonderful company.


This festive occasion is a chance for us to celebrate our annual wheat harvest and the success of the past year. We have even more to celebrate as André Brink, head of Groot Phesantekraal, has been named Western Cape Farmer of the Year 2024 by the Agricultural Writers SA Awards! We’re excited to share this moment with our close-knit Durbanville community and the wider farming and wine families. Everyone is welcome!


As you arrive, enjoy a glass of our refreshing Cap Classique while mingling with fellow guests. We’ll gather around a beautiful long table for a delightful starter course featuring freshly baked breads, local cheeses, Groot Phesantekraal charcuterie, dips, and seasonal preserves.


For the main meal, we’ll serve a South African twist on traditional Thanksgiving fare. Look forward to a feast prepared by chef Germaine Esau and his team:

- Chicken roast

- Bread and sage stuffing with slow-cooked onion

- Dry-aged free-range beef with chimichurri

- Roast potatoes

- Roasted boerpampoen (pumpkin) with miso honey and pumpkin seeds

- Garden greens with croutons, local hard cheese, and mustard dressing


And don’t miss our decadent desserts: sweet potato soft serve with spiced pecan nuts, peppermint crisp choux bun, and num num tart!


Throughout the evening, enjoy a selection of our finest wines, including the award-winning Anna de Koning Reserve Chenin Blanc 2023 and Berliet Reserve Pinotage 2022.
