The BackYard-BackGround Quintet will present music from the vaults of the African time institution, which always seeks to tap into OUR natural roots & ROUTES in our OWN located spaces, places and paths in search of sounds of MY genre's genes, voices, rhythms, dances, chants and hymns!

On the band stand I will be backed by incredible Crown seasoned musicians like Lonwabo Mafani on piano, Steven Sokuyeka on trombone, Keegan Steenkamp on trumpet, Buddy Wells on sax and Tefo Mahola on drums. 

I'm looking forward to seeing you all in your numbers when I'm back in C Town my hometown to what will be a voyage in the spaceship of freedom to the much longed for Artist Island….
