Come to our Hout Bay Harbour Carnival and Fish Derby, which will take place from 20 to 22 December 2024 on Hout Bay harbour. Visitors may enjoy the best local cuisine variety while taking in the local entertainment from the breathtaking view of the harbour.

Over the years, Hout Bay, which was formerly a fishing community and a vital port for Cape Town, has been able to preserve its distinct character as a fishing village and rural farming. The distinctive geography of Hout Bay, with its steep mountains jutting into the Atlantic Ocean's depths along dunes, wetlands, and forest thickets, has drawn Capetonians and both domestic and foreign tourists to the seaside town on weekends and holidays to enjoy the rich local heritage and food culture. This has resulted in heritage that is exclusive to the Cape Peninsula.

The Hout Bay Harbour Carnival and Fish Derby is to honour and celebrate Hout Bay's rich cultural heritage spanning four centuries with you and enjoy great cuisine, beverages, and entertainment for three and a half days. Lekker style is the ideal local way to appreciate your senses, so bring the whole family and friends along.

The cost of the ticket includes the festival entrance fee.

ABOUT THIS EVENT: Three and a half days of nonstop entertainment for the whole family! Food, craft and art stalls, musicians, DJs, live bands, Hout Bay tours, boat rides, lekker entertainment and the biggest fish under the Fish Derby.

ALCOHOL is on sale on the premises. No one who is intoxicated will be permitted entry to the location.

No one is allowed to enter with food, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverage, or any other snack will be allowed.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

NO WEAPONS ALLOWED

Our top goal is the protection and safety of our event attendees. Our security detail consists of individuals from the SA Police Services, Metro Police, Law Enforcement, local Hout Bay safety marshals, and fully qualified security company. 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Make sure you buy the appropriate ticket for the festival day you want to attend. After the sale is finalised, changes cannot be made.

NO REFUNDS

We do not permit any PASS-OUTS due to safety considerations!

Please make sure that the ticket you purchase is priced appropriately for your age group. An adult with a children's ticket will not be permitted entry by security.
