ABOUT

Kanu Ntshoko, born into a family of South African jazz musicians, developed a passion for music early in life, performing with relatives as a child. He studied music theory at UNISA and formed a jazz group, the "4th Note," during his school years. Ntshoko's career flourished as he performed at clubs and collaborated with South African jazz legends like Dr. Tete Mbambisa, Victor Ntoni, and Louis Moholo-Moholo, as well as international artists like Cat Stevens. His music blends African melodies with global influences, creating a unique sound. After a break to focus on music education, Ntshoko returned to recording and touring, currently leading the jazz project "Umhlangano" with a talented ensemble of musicians.
