We’ve got an action-packed day planned, including hiking, beach walking, swimming, picnicking/braai, and even fishing (bring your own gear). Kayaking is also available as an optional extra. There’s something for everyone, so bring your family and friends for a day of adventure!

7.30AM at the Umlalazi Nature Reserve Boat Launch Site (picnic area)

What to Bring:

Comfortable walking shoes, water or cold drinks, a backpack, cap, sunglasses, and sunblock.

The Hike:

Approx. 10km

Difficulty:

Casual Hiker: Grade 2

Regular Hiker: Grade 1 (mostly flat forest and dune walk)

Duration: 3-4 hours

-Mangroves and the unique raphia palm forest (a national monument and home to the elusive palm-nut vulture)

-The abandoned railway station

-Siyaya River Bridge

-Doggie Beach

-A private beach

-Beautiful forest trails and lagoons

This is an exclusive event, so tickets are limited!

We require a minimum of 10 confirmed and paid bookings to proceed with this event. If the quota isn’t met, the event will be canceled and refunds will be processed.

No refund or credit will be given if you are a no-show.

In the case of bad weather, the event will be rescheduled with a new date or a refund will be offered.

There is an additional R50 per person payable at the gate when entering the reserve (free with Rhino Card)
