Bready or not... here we crumb! This Human Rights Day, The Tankwa Town Art Appreciation Society is rising to the occasion with BAKKERAVE—a dough-lightful fundraiser to bring the Bakkery to AfrikaBurn! Expect a day/night filled with dirty beats, treats, and art activations as we pull together to make our mutant vehicle dream a reality. We knead your help!

ABOUT THE BAKKERY
We’re on a roll—literally! Our beloved truck, Love at First Sight, is transforming into a French-inspired mobile bakery, complete with freshly baked buns, breads, and biscuits, served up when you least expect it. Life’s batter at the Bakkery!
A short history of Love at First Sight: This 8-ton Mercedes Benz flatbed truck has graced Afrikaburn twice before—first as Jou Ma Se Stoep (2022) and then as Backstage (2023). This year, it will rise again as the Bakkery—a fully functioning patisserie on wheels! Expect painted walls, a charming roof, welcoming bakery steps, and café seating, all designed to transport you straight from the Binnekring to the streets of Paris. And of course, our neon Bakkery sign will shine bright, a beacon of light, love, and fluffy dough in the Tankwa night.
Last, but not yeast... you can have your cake and eat it too! Join us at BAKKERAVE, where art, music, and fresh-baked magic come together.
