It's a Wednesday night before the long week-end, and we're celebrating life in Cape Town with movie-maker Meg Rickardts and musicians Dave Reynolds & Victor Sithole.

Muliti-instrumentalist Dave Reynolds is South Africa's premier steelpan player, a Paraguyuan harpist and acoustic guitarist. He has performed and recorded all over the world with Steve Newman, Andy Narell, Hugh Masekela, Pops Mohamed. Louis Mhlanga, Tony Cox, the late Gito Baloi and others. He has been nominated for 8 SAMAs for his various albums, including his most recent, SANDANCE THE SOUNDTRACK which won international 11 awards at various film festivals.

Hailing from Durban, Victor Sithole has been making and playing indigenous instruments since early childhood. After studying music at FUBA in Joburg, he was awarded a scholarship to the Australian Institute of Music in Melbourne, Australia. Since then he has traveled to Denmark, Poland, Sweden, Brazil, Cuba, Spain, Mexico & Germany sharing the beauty of African music and spirituality.

Hosted this time at Mowbray Bowling Club rather than Meg's home, Ancient Wisdom merges the light of two traveling souls.

There's a cash bar and a light meat-free dinner will be served from 6:30pm. Please bring your friends (if you don't have any, Meg will help - she has many ...).
