Beer for a Cause: Craft Breweries Unite for Cancer Relief

Beerworks is proud to host the inaugural Craft Brewery Charity Drive for Cancer Relief on Saturday, 19th April (Easter Saturday). This event unites the craft brewing community to raise funds and awareness for a vital cause, with 100% of beer sales on the day donated to CANSA.

What’s Happening?

Tap Takeover for Charity – Some of South Africa’s finest craft breweries are donating kegs for the cause. Every pint sold goes directly to CANSA. Expect brews from Beerworks, Soul Barrel, Charlie’s Garage, HopMan (4 Degrees), The Local Brewing, Woodstock Brewery, 400 Brewing Company ( Spinal Tap ), The Kennel Brewery, Everson's Cider and LillyPatrick Brewery.

Shave-a-Thon – In partnership with CANSA, we’re encouraging volunteers to shave, spray, or donate to support cancer awareness. Every contribution makes a difference.

Raffles & Competitions – Spot prizes, free pints, and brewery gift cards will be up for grabs. There will also be a jumping castle and activities for children.

Pre-Ordered Bottomless Beer Sales – Get unlimited pours with a special ticket. Limited availability, so book early.

Event Merchandise & Charity Sales – Exclusive event merchandise will be available for pre-order via Quicket, along with additional CANSA charity items on sale.

We hope this is just the beginning of an annual, nationwide movement where breweries across South Africa come together for a shared cause. Great beer is even better when it makes a difference.
