Godfrey and Aletia met at UCT in 1996. He was the musical director of the Pantomime; she was Flora Dora Daisy. Was it Sleeping Beauty? Who knows? It was too long ago….
With material from cabaret masters like Jacques Brel, Leonard Cohen, as well as songwriters like Joni Mitchell and divas like Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand juxtaposed with contemporary singers like Adele, and vintage and alternative arrangements of pop songs, this is unique and rare collaboration.
