Yellowwoods MTB & Trail Run 2025

38 km

Our Longest MTB route, leaving from the start at the school, and riding along dirt roads to the neighbouring farm, you will do clockwise 14km loop followed by an anti-clockwise 14 km loop of the farm. The route will take you through livestock camps and then return to the school to the finish.

24 km

Leaving from the start at the school, and riding along dirt roads to the neighbouring farm, you will do a 16 km loop through livestock camps and then return to the school to the finish.

15 km

Leaving from the start at the school, and riding along dirt roads to the neighbouring farm, you will do a 5 km loop through livestock camps and then return to the school to the finish. 

20 km

All runners will be transported to the start at the neighbouring farm. You will then explore the farm through the various livestock camps, before returning to the school along the dirt road to the finish.

10 km 

All runners will be transported to the start at the neighbouring farm. You will do a 5 km loop through livestock camps, before returning to the school along the dirt road to the finish.

5km

All runners will be transported to the start at the neighbouring farm. You then will return back to the school along the dirt road to the finish.

Come and join us for a colourful journey around our beautiful school grounds filled with lots of laughs, smiles and joy for the whole family. Afterwards, the kids can enjoy lots of fun activities and games to keep the fun going.

Registration is at 11h30 and the race will start at 12h00.

BY PROCEEDING WITH REGISTERING FOR THE EVENT, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU HAVE CAREFULLY READ AND FULLY UNDERSTOOD THE AGREEMENT AND AGREE TO THE TERMS SET OUT BELOW.

• Description of Risks - In consideration of the race, I hereby acknowledge that I am participating in a competitive race in an open, outdoors environment with co-participants in a group event, and that I am fully aware of, and have acquainted myself with, the risks and hazards associated with or arising from the aforementioned race, including but not limited to:
• I will at all times be subject to and under obligation to obey the instructions of the organisers, and its designated representatives, including the race officials and marshals of the race in particular;
• I will be participating in an open, outdoors environment subject to unpredictable weather conditions, exposure to wild and unpredictable fauna and flora as well as the sun and the elements including, but not limited to, water, wind and fire, and other dangers over which Yellowwoods, and its designated representatives, including the race officials and marshals of the race, have no control and may not have predicted, to the extent that no official or unofficial notification could be communicated to me prior to or during the Challenge;
• In the event of emergencies, medical assistance will be provided by authorised medical personnel and I will be liable for all costs thereby occasioned;
• The range of risks and the degree of danger to me include those mentioned above but many others, some of them not reasonably foreseeable.
• Personal Warranties
• I warrant that my general health, including my physical and mental well-being, is good and there is nothing which renders me unfit to undertake this race. 
• In amplification of the above, I warrant that I have disclosed any special medical conditions or needs I may have.
• Indemnity
• I am fully aware that I may face dangers in participating in the race, including those mentioned above, but in addition dangers unknown to both myself, and I nonetheless hereby indemnify and hold harmless Yellowwoods School, its members, officials, marshals, employees, associates, agents, the landowner or landowners, sponsors, contractors and all other service providers acting on their behalf or on their instruction (hereinafter collectively referred to as “the INDEMNIFIED PARTIES”) against any and all claims howsoever arising, for any loss or damage resulting from any bodily injury, disability, psychological harm, loss of life or loss or damage to property, including any such loss, injury, disability or damage which can be attributed to any act or omission on the part of the INDEMNIFIED PARTIES, or my co-participants, which I may sustain whilst participating in the race and/or travelling thereto or therefrom or whilst participating in any event arranged by or on behalf of the INDEMNIFIED PARTIES in connection with the race or incidental thereto, and regardless of how such claim may have arisen.
• Personal Responsibility
• I agree that should I leave the race for any reason whatsoever I will inform a marshal of my decision to do so, prior to leaving the event.
• I will not, under any circumstance whatsoever, remove my helmet during the cycle race in accordance with the NO HELMET NO RIDE regulation.
• For parents of minors under 18 years of age
• I fully accept that Yellowwoods School and its representatives have no responsibility at any time for under 18 minors unless they are within the supervised confines of the school pre-primary. This includes before, during and after all races.
• The supervised area in the Yellowwoods Pre-Primary will be manned by teachers and staff until 13h00, after which parents are responsible for their children.
• All minors participating in the event will be taken back to the Yellowwoods supervised area unless parents have indicated that they do not wish that to happen.
• Declaration
• IN SIGNING THIS INDEMNITY, I also warrant that I am an adult of sound mind and that I am aware of my right to take legal advice in regard to the contents thereof and I declare that I have read through the Indemnity and I know and understand its terms and the consequences thereof and fully agree to bind myself to these provisions.
