ABOUT
‘Silent Treatment’ offers you a chance to be part of a small, exclusive audience – where you are invited to engage with the artists and their work in an intimate living room atmosphere, where the usual seating arrangements make way for comfy cushions and beanbags on the floor. Make sure to book to be a part of this highly exclusive bespoke experience. This performance launches the second part of the Silent Treatment installation, featuring the photographic & textual narratives from episodes 7-12 of House on the Hill’s Jazz Community Showcase Series.
'Silent Treatment' presents legendary bass player and composer Carlo Mombelli alongside master percussionist and songwriter Tlale Makhene and celebrated trumpet player and bandleader Marcus Wyatt. The trio will showcase material, composed by Carlo and Tlale during the global lockdown - beautiful, moody & thoughtful music juxtaposed by swaying melodies on top of rolling polyrhythms & deeply rooted grooves. This meeting of musical minds will be as joyous as it will be profound.
