Modular synthesis has been a vital part of electronic music for over 60 years, featuring everything from vast arrays of Moog modular synthesisers to unique, psychedelic Buchla systems and hand-soldered analogue Serge equipment. This expansive approach offers endless opportunities for sonic exploration and live improvisation.
Cross-modulations, a collaboration between Chantelle Gray and Aragorn Eloff, invites listeners to experience the limitless possibilities of these fascinating instruments.
Both performing solo and as a duo, Chantelle and Aragorn pay tribute to the legacy and joy of modular patching. Their sonic journey begins with early modular music from the 1960s, transitioning through contemporary sounds and beyond.
