ABOUT
YMSP (Young Music, Spiritual Purpose) is a fusion group from Stellenbosch that combines South African jazz and EDM (Electronic Dance Music).
Their performances combine free solos and live electronics into performances that are both interesting and engaging.
The group is spearheaded by Anthonie Jansen van Rensburg on flute, umTshingo, and electronics.
He is joined by Kerwin Albertus on saxophones, and Kyle Vollenhoven on guitars.
They released their debut album 'Only Now' in February of 2024 and have been performing in and around Cape Town since then.
YMSP recently released their latest single called 'for Peanut' and are going to release a music video for the song soon.
They will also be releasing another three singles throughout 2025, so stay tuned for more!
