This April, Radio Bantu comes to The Chairman with an epic musical convergence led by the brilliant Ndabo Zulu, in collaboration with the powerful voices of the Soweto Central Choir.
Prepare yourself for a 50+ member ensemble featuring a 40-voice choir, a commanding brass section, and a full band, all brought together under the visionary direction of Ndabo Zulu, one of South Africa’s most electrifying musical forces.
From the streets of Chesterville to the global jazz stage, Ndabo Zulu’s journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. With academic roots stretching from UKZN to Norway’s top music institutions, and collaborations that include PJ Morton, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Sjava, and Nduduzo Makhathini, Zulu stands at the intersection of African tradition and global innovation.
A multi-award-winning trumpeter, composer, and scholar, Zulu’s critically acclaimed work Queen Nandi: The African Symphony set the stage - but Radio Bantu takes it even further.
