ABOUT
As co-founder of Sit the Folk Down, we thought it only appropriate that we do a proper House concert to launch the second solo album by Jon Shaban.Jon is undoubtedly one of the finest songwriters around, interpreting life and the issues surrounding it in a way that only he can, sometimes humorous, sometimes heartbreaking, but always interesting. We are incredibly excited about this album, having brought in some of the finest musicians on the local music scene to add their incredible talent, some of whom will be performing at this very launch.
As is always the case with our house shows, it is a bring your own booze/food vibe. Think picnic baskets, cushions, blankets, etc(mini Kirstenbosch vibes if you will)
Doors will open at 6pm
We will have 2 up and coming singer/songwriters performing between 7:30pm-9pm with the main performance by Jon starting around 9:30pm
The new albums will be for sale on the evening at R100 each, we are however running a special for the evening. If you have a look at the two ticket purchase options, they are:
