“BRAVISSIMO!” On the 13th of October 2018, is the brainchild of Fireworx - inspired by the incredible true stories of the Hero’s and Heriones who tirelessly devote their energy to Hero777. Hero777, started by Matthew Legemaate, who after being the recipient of a bi-lateral lung and heart transplant (almost a year ago) at only 20 years old, decided he needed to change perceptions and shift paradigms, leaving a legacy in honour of his donor and family. To bring hope and real change to the almost unthinkable, upward battle, facing these individuals requiring transplants and their families. 

Join us in the ‘Race to Save Lives’, as we bring awareness to Organ Donation, increase the Registry, connect the dots between roleplayers and fulfil Matthew’s dream of bringing to South Africa, the 'HEART IN A BOX' technology to extend the lifespan of the organs in the critical hours leading up to transplant.

With Matthew’s love of Fedora’s and all things Italian, we have created an event with a loose nod to ”THE ITALIAN JOB"! We present an afternoon and evening of unsurpassed entertainment, a heartwrenchingly beautiful photography exhibition telling the journey of our heroes, spectacular fashion, a hilarious act by On Fire Comedy, live music and dancers, delicious italian fare and a celebratory party to top all parties!”

"FIREWORX" is a team of professional, dynamic and highly driven individuals, who together feel we have the power to uplift, empower and inspire those in need. Our aim is to create platform fundraising events, showcasing the city's finest talents in arts, music, fashion, hair and more. At these events, we will sell tickets, the proceeds of which will benefit a different lesser-known charity every year. We believe this keeps our goals and ideas fresh, leaves no room for complacency and is completely transparent. Borne out of a desire to see real change in the world we live in, FIREWORX seeks no remuneration for the individual entities involved, and all monies raised go toward the chosen NPO or charity. Our chief aim is to obtain sponsorships or donations to cover the costs of the events, ensuring we are able to donate the majority of the funds we raise. We are united by a deeper-seated dedication to our fellow human and our individual faiths at the core of this passion, and we are determined to set the world on FIRE. We firmly believe that we are dedicated to 'giving back' and that "NOTHING TOUCHED BY FIRE EVER REMAINS THE SAME”.
