ABOUT
You are invited to join us at "A Champagne Consensus" on the 20th of August in Cape Town - an exclusive all-women event to network, learn and chat about blockchain (and being a woman in the tech space).
BECSA (housed under Blink) is an organisation formed earlier this year to foster collaboration, learning and networking opportunities in the blockchain space, and to act as a convener and community builder for entrepreneurs interested in blockchain in South Africa.
We've had a phenomenal response thus far, with a number of capacity events. That said, we recognise a real under-representation of women at our events and in the sector . To that end, we are committed to changing this and encouraging more women to get involved and to ultimately feel empowered to leverage this technology.
As part of Women's month, we are therefore excited to be hosting two all-women blockchain events in Johannesburg (Bubbles and Blockchain - 30 August) and Cape Town (A Champagne Consensus - 20 August), with generous support from ConsenSys.
Please join us at Work & Co at 5.30 for 6pm for an informal evening of learnings, great conversations (and champagne)! Light dinner will be provided.
The agenda for the evening will include presentations from Monica Singer from ConsenSys (who was the first CEO of STRATE) and Aunnie Patton the founder of Intelligent Impact. These are two phenomenal women who have had experience both in the finance sector and tech sector. They will be sharing their insights in blockchain and their work, as well as 'special contributions' from one or two key female 'influencers' in tech who will share their thoughts on blockchain and lessons learnt as women in tech. The rest of the evening will be dedicated to an open discussion and networking evening with fellow guests.
Let's build a South African blockchain & technology sisterhood! We hope you will join us.
