Meet our keynote speaker: Tanya Pampalone
Tanya is the managing editor of the Global Investigative Journalism Network, a Washington DC-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting investigative journalists worldwide. She has been a journalist for over 20 years, working in Los Angeles, Prague, San Francisco and Johannesburg. She is a founding partner of the Media Hack Collective, dedicated to the craft of digital storytelling, and is the former executive editor of the Mail & Guardian, managing editor of Maverick magazine and head of strategic partnerships for The Conversation Africa. Her most recent book, I Want To Go Home Forever: Stories of Becoming and Belonging in South Africa’s Great Metropolis was published last year by Wits Press.
