Ashley van Rooyen


Ashley van Rooyen lives by the moto “anything is possible” after surviving life-threatening health issues including an induced coma. 
 
Her path to success started as a secretary for the Cape Argus followed by a step up to a Sales and Marketing role before finally being head-hunted for a position as Sales Manager for a corporate branding company.  After 3 years she realised that she had the potential to run her own business that was honest, reliable and did not focus primarily on making millions.  “Of course, who does not want to make millions, but that should be a by-product, not a goal.”
 
In July 2018 her status changed from employee to business owner, when she started a new business venture with her business partner Jessica Zimmerman, who is a fiery red head and as the Ash herself, Fire and Ash Marketing was born.
 
Fire and Ash Marketing is a female owned corporate branding company.  They value people and their mission is to earn their client’s loyalty by delivering results beyond their expectations through innovative thought and service excellence. 
 
Fire and Ash Marketing specialise in custom sports kits, in-house graphic design, local manufacturing of bags and clothing, safety wear as well as unique gifting ideas.
 
Ashley sets a good example to others in terms of goals and values.  She aligns herself with the following UN goals:
 
Life Below Water
Ashely has an active interest in water pollution and runs a variety of initiatives with Beach C Clean Up and Sea The Bigger Picture. 
 
Good Health
Ashley takes health and fitness seriously and is an active member of Discovery Vitality.  She leads a healthy lifestyle, trains hard and inspires others to do the same including her business partner, Jessica who lost 17kg and her husband who lost 18kg.
 
Life on Land
Ashley is an activist at heart – she feels strongly about the earth and the life it sustains.  As the most intellectual and advanced of all species, mankind has a responsibility to ensure our existence on this beautiful, unique planet is one of sustainability.  We are yet to fully understand the damage caused by humans.
