ABOUT
Txana Ikakuru and Isarewe Huni Kuin are both Spiritual Leaders/Pajés from the Jordão Region, Acre state, Amazon Rainforest, Brazil. They are representatives of the Huni Kuin "true people" also known as Kaxinawa.
They are both supported by a strong ancestral lineage, and bring with them the powerful force of the forest.
The sacred songs they will share with us are healing chants calling on the spirit of the forest, the animals, birds, flowers, plants, the sky, the stars, the moon, the sun, the waters for "transformation".
These sacred songs are incredibly powerful at opening the heart, helping us to remember our true essence that which is not separate from nature nor each other.
They will share with those interested the medicine of rapé (pronounced haapay). This medicine is an indigenous sacred snuff made from an elaborated mix of Amazonian herbs, plants, sacred tree barks and sacred jungle tobacco. This ancient medicine is used in their spiritual and cultural tradition and known to the Huni Kuin as Dume Deshke which connects us to the energy of Yuxibu (energy of creation).
It also aligns the chakras, grounds, cleanses the energy field removing panema "negative blocked energy", removes illness and trauma from the body.
Both Txana Ikakuru and Isarewe have travelled extensively over the past few years sharing the healing of the forest with the world. It’s a great privilege to receive them here in South Africa.
A Sacred Ceremony to Welcome the Huni Kuin to our Land will be led by the #Gurokam Khoen !Naremâb !nâ, First People of South Africa.
