ABOUT
Double Bass duo Roxane Steffen and Mariechen Meyer are very passionate about showing the full potential of the Double Bass to a wide audience and are starting 'The Evolution of Bass' series where they take you on a journey through time and show you the various stages of the evolution of bass music in the different genres, solo to ensemble music.
This first part concentrates on Duo and Solo Double Bass music composed by Double Bass players from the 18th to the 21st century. The works are all challenging and exciting pieces as these Double Bass players knew/know their instrument and knew/know what is possible!
Joining them on Piano is Megan Geoffrey Prins who will also play a solo Piano work to tie the progam together.
