Following hot on the heels of Fiesta Latina SA 2012, 2013, and 2014....Get ready for an all-new, bigger and better "FIESTA LATINA SA" – 4th ANNUAL LATIN CULTURAL FESTIVAL Joburg 2015 - The annual meeting point of Latinos in Africa.
Experience the colour, vibe, culture and traditional cuisine of Latin America at this fun family event. From incredible cultural dances to a live Latin band, delectable delicacies, folkloric traditions, and contemporary entertainment, this premier event celebrates South Africa’s growing Latino community. Apart from actually travelling to South America, this is the most authentic Latino experience you can get this side of the Atlantic, and allows us to proudly share our culture with other communities, locals and tourists.
Everyone is welcome, and there will be something for everyone to enjoy; simply a fun afternoon, and evening, of unsurpassed Latin hospitality.
FIESTA LATINA SOUTH AFRICA™ is brought to you by Adrelatin Entertainment™ - the creators of “Celebrando Latino-America” and “Barrio Afro-Latino Market,” in the interests of promoting cultural awareness, community development, entrepreneurship within the local Latino community, and of course, Latino pride, heritage and lifestyle.
SO... WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AT FIESTA LATINA SA??
• FOOD:
Feast on a delicious variety of cuisines from 10+ Latin countries, from Mexico to Argentina, and pretty much everywhere in between! Sweet and savoury dishes will be freshly prepared just for you to savour. As at all our events, we aim to cater appropriately for everyone. Vegetarian, Halaal, and Kosher food options are available too (look for the signs at the participating vendors!). And to wash it all down? How about some traditional beverages, or some freshly brewed coffee from... yes, you guessed it...South America! A cash bar is available too.
• LIVE ENTERTAINMENT:
A sizzling entertainment and party line-up, featuring cultural dances, live entertainment, traditional latin games, competitions, our popular signature attractions "CANTA Y GANA", "LA HORA LOCA & "EL BAILETON". Do you have what it takes to win the Baileton this year? There will be plenty of prizes up for grabs. Salsa, Bachata, Reggaeton Samba and many other unique, fun attractions will provide an unrivalled treat for your senses.
• CHILDRENS ENTERTAINMENT & BABY CARE:
There will be a kids play area, as well as a baby feeding and changing area.
• WHEELCHAIRS:
Wheelchair access and toilet facilities will be available.
• WHAT TO WEAR:
Get into the festival spirit, and come dressed in traditional clothes, carnival wear, South American characters, or the colours of your country’s flag. Be innovative, be outrageous, this festival is put together for you, so come live "la vida loca"! There will be prizes for best dressed couple, and best traditional attire.
