About the speaker:
Danielle Rabin has had Fibromyalgia and CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) for over 14 years. She has been a successful business women for 15 years and started dancing at the age of 3. At one point, she was running 3 businesses, living on minimal sleep and dealing with a highly compromised immune system. This led to complete burnout, and a burning desire to find a solution.
Danielle strongly believes that to begin treating Fibromyalgia, a person needs to take a holistic view. They first need to get to the root cause.
She believes that this condition manifests in the body primarily through a trauma or various traumas that a person may have experienced in their life. This trauma is like a massive jolt to the nervous system & has a domino effect by weakening the immune system. The body then becomes susceptible to viruses, food allergies, weather sensitivities and is highly sensitive to stress of any kind.
As do most, if not all people who struggle with this condition, Danielle has spent thousands of Rands on specialists and medication over the years, with either no change in symptoms, or the condition worsening, which further increased her frustration and depression.
Having always had an interest in wellness and mental health, she has spent years researching and studying the root cause of this incredibly debilitating condition and looking for alternative ways to function and balance her life, despite having this “invisible” illness.
Danielle is an international Wellness and Mental health blogger. She blogs for clients in the USA, Bali, South Africa, Thailand and Canada. She is currently studying to be a Wellness and Spiritual life coach through the WORLD COACHING INSTITUTE in the USA.
The Fibromyalgia South Africa support group is the largest online support group for Fibromyalgia in Africa. We have over 6000 members. Our aim is to reach as many people as possible and inspire them not to give up hope, and to learn how to live with this condition and ultimately, gain a better quality of life on all levels.
