Deen Arts Foundation Donations

About

We at Deen Arts Foundation South Africa, a registered non-profit company, are dedicated to reviving, promoting, and preserving traditional Islamic sacred arts through educational workshops and projects in South Africa. However, we need your help to make this initiative a success for generations to come.

We rely on the generosity of kind souls, donors, and supporters to fund our programs and provide the necessary resources for our students to learn and master Islamic calligraphy, manuscript illumination, and geometric patterns. With your support, we can continue to foster intimate, long-term relationships between students and master art teachers that benefit our community for years to come.

We believe that learning traditional Islamic sacred arts is essential to rejuvenate the hearts and souls of Muslims and to connect them to their Islamic culture and identity. Moreover, it provides a means of empowerment in South African communities, where such opportunities are often limited.

At Deen Arts Foundation South Africa, we use the apprenticeship model of teaching and learning, where students are connected to qualified master art teachers who instruct them in a particular discipline. We follow the Ijazah process, which entails completing a set curriculum under the guidance of a master art teacher, leading to certification once the art and discipline have been mastered.

We aim to bridge the lack of opportunities to understand Islamic Arts from aesthetic and philosophical perspectives based on Revelation and Divine Unity. Our community is open to a diverse global audience of all cultural backgrounds, faiths, and geographical locations.

Please send us an email for more information on how to support and join us in making a positive difference in our community. Together, we can revive, promote, and preserve traditional Islamic sacred arts for generations to come.
