It has been a wonderful journey of 8 years, starting off as Strand Golf Club functions (with a drum box and no bass)... we didn't sound anything like we do today. It has truly been a life altering journey!
We started mainly with what we call "The Lounge Set" as it suited our skill sets and …. Rijk, Mike Diepeveen's son, coined the name The Bullets "Ou toppies plus one pellet Ryno"
Initially we referred to our band as "The Bullets & Friends" as the idea was to invite guests to join us on stage, do a couple of numbers with us and give budding musicians a chance to play in a band... in front of an audience.
“it’s about the silences between the notes” ~ We really get a thrill out of these lounge songs as it really makes you play with feeling and showcase some of the intricacies that only these types of songs can introduce.
Hold on to your hats… from there we kick the party of with some heavier & faster music. Time to enjoy the show.
