3's and 7's

3's and 7's is an indie-alternative rock band from Johannesburg, South Africa - bringing loud, raw guitar-driven music back to the forefront.

The trio consists of Murray Blamey (vocals), Matt Nijland (guitar and bass) and Lorenzo Germani (drums). A shared love of music quickly led to them starting a band together after meeting at university in 2018.

Over five years of making a widely-known name for themselves through regular gigging and a thriving social media presence, they currently have the SA music scene and radio charts abuzz with the consistent release stream of their highly-anticipated singles since June 2022.

Their seventh and latest single, Synesthesia - for which they embarked on their first SA tour, playing multiple venues across KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng - showcases their melodic, experimental indie-punk mentalities in full force!

Alongside their touring achievements, 3's and 7's has scored two Mix 93.8 FM Top 40 hits (I'm Done at #4 and Free Entities at #16), three placements on the SA Rock playlist (Stars, Fatal Attraction & Synesthesia) and a five-week streak at #1 with Stars on DOORS Rock Radio's SA Top 20.

Their songwriting focuses on crafting energetic, catchy and melodic old school-influenced rock songs that are meant to be turned up to 11! As a hard-working unit that has proudly taken their graft from the garage to the charts and across SA, 3's and 7's pride themselves on sounding the same on their recordings as they do at their live shows.
