Barrydale In Bloom 2024

Join us for a fun and exciting Klein Karoo weekend getaway during Barrydale's annual charity fundraising event where the community comes together to showcase its diverse gardens to raise money for Barrydale Hospice. During the week prior to the festival the famous Magpie Art Collection will host a three day workshop on how to make flowers from recycled plastic bottles and local chefs will do cooking demonstrations. Over the weekend the bustling garden market, tea garden, interesting talks, workshops, gala dinner, guided tours and, of course, the more than 20 gardens can be visited. A first will be a fairy throne competition where locals and budding artists from neighbouring towns can get super creative. The vibrant painting of local artist Michelle Berry, The Garden, that is used in this year's poster will be auctioned with the fairy thrones at the Forage & Feast dinner. All proceeds will go to Barrydale Hospice.
