VOLK

VOLK is an alternative Afrikaans band from Cape Town, South Africa. The band was founded by frontman, Frank Freeman, who's known for his work as session musician for some of South Africa's biggest names across many genres. The group was formed out of Frank's desire to create something in his home language that he wishes existed, but doesn't yet. His way of being Afrikaans as a modern day South African. The result has been the start of a cult following of fans that have started to embrace this bold style of music. "The idea is not to chase any particular style or genre with the music. It's to just let it be what it wants to be at the time that we create it."
