SFC

About

When we first started using smart devices, we had little understanding of the impact they have on children and teenagers. Now we do, and the evidence is alarming.

We believe something needs to change. Because regulation hasn’t caught up with the technology, and smart devices and social media are so prevalent, attractive and addictive to children, it’s a problem that’s too big for one family to handle on their own.

SFC is a grassroots initiative that connects and empowers parents to press pause on smartphones and social media for kids. It is part of an international movement of hundreds of thousands of parents in over 60 countries, all recognising the need to delay access to smartphones and social media. It’s been inspired by a growing belief that childhood should be less dependent on devices — a shift being embraced by schools, legislators, and parents worldwide.
