"An absolutely fantastic day and event. We are lifelong blues fans and have been to blues and music events all over the US, UK and SA for over 50 years. The Knysna Blues Festival ranks right up there as a GREAT event. The venue is the perfect size for an intimate, fun event. There is plenty of interaction between the artists playing and the audience. The food and service were also excellent. We enjoyed the variety of music from Georgetown's self described "blue-billy-folk-pop" style to The Black Cat Bones dynamic stage presence that had the crowd dancing enthusiastically. The blues song writing contest was a real treat, especially because I won....??and having Michael Canfield sing my song was especially fun. This was our first KBF but it definitely won't be our last. One suggestion for the future. Please see if you can get Andra Cilliers to perform. We've seen and met her several times when she performed up in the Hartbeespoort Dam area a few years ago. She not only looks and sounds like Janis Joplin (whom I met in the 1960s) when she is belting out a blues song, she has a tremendous range of musical influences and is a real delight to see live. Again, a great day and we will be back!"
